Harrison Police, Fire Departments Team-Up to Recover Vehicles

The Harrison Police and Fire Departments team-up in a case of recovering vehicles stolen from the city.

The release below is from the City of Harrison:

On Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 11:43 a.m., the Harrison Police Department received a report of a stolen 2016 Cheverlot from a business at 229 Industrial Park Road. A BOLO (be on the lookout) was sent to law enforcement officers. At 1:03 p.m., a Code Enforcement Officer for the Harrison Fire Department spotted the vehicle with two subjects inside parked at a residence on Chestnut Street.

The man and woman in the car fled on foot. The female was taken into custody, interviewed, and released. Officers had saturated the area, and at 2:38 p.m., the male suspect was identified as Brian Webb, 36, of Harrison. Webb was taken into custody and is incarcerated at the Boone County Jail. Webb discovered a spare key in the Chevrolet's console.

Harrison Police Chief Chris Graddy said, “After a short manhunt, the stolen vehicle was recovered, and Webb was arrested. We are grateful to the Code Enforcement Officer who spotted it.”

Webb was also charged with a second stolen vehicle taken a week earlier, on June 5.  A 1999 Kia was stolen from a business at 1525 N. Main St. The keys had been left in the vehicle. Harrison officers recovered the vehicle on Monday, June 10.

Both vehicles were returned to their owners.
