A Boone County man is facing felony charges after a report of allegedly pointing a handgun at three people, including a minor, while intoxicated. 63-year-old Byron Clark Marden is facing charges of aggravated assault.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on May 24, officers from the Harrison Police Department responded to a call of aggravated assault along Industrial Park Road. Upon arrival, a witness told officers she had been informed by one of the residents there was an altercation late the night before. She stated the victim told her Marden had been drinking and pointed a firearm towards her, her 12 year old son and another resident.

During the investigation, officers could see what appeared to be dried droplets of blood on the ground leading from the victim’s apartment to Marden’s. When he came out of his apartment, officers observed a fresh wound on his right elbow. Marden appeared to still be heavily intoxicated as he was placed under arrest.

Marden was booked into the Boone County Detention Center and faces one felony count of aggravated assault. His bond is set at $10,000.
