Harrison Firefighters battle a blaze in snowy conditions late Saturday night.

The full release from the Harrison Fire Department is below:

Harrison Fire was dispatched just before midnight Saturday night for a structure fire in the 200 block of  Prestonwood.  Temperatures were in the single digits.  First arriving engines found a single story residence with heavy  fire in the garage and attic of the residence.

Shortly after arriving the garage collapsed. E-1, E-2, E-3 and R-1 were on scene in a matter of minutes, despite the hazardous road conditions. Fire was stopped at the garage/ kitchen area. Occupant stated, she woke up and the house was  filled with smoke. There were no working smoke detectors on our arrival.

All  units were back in service at 02:35. There were no injuries. Fire is under investigation.
