A blast of cold air will be a part of the Lakes Region transition from April to May.
The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for tonight for all of the southern Missouri Lakes Region including Barry, Stone, Taney, and Ozarks Counties along with north central Arkansas Counties Boone, Marion, Newton, and Searcy.
Forecasters are calling for temperatures to dip from 28 to 30 degrees overnight which could damage some vegetation that has already bloomed for spring.
The Freeze Warning will be in effect until mid-morning Friday with temperatures to rebound into the 60's Friday afternoon.
