A doctor who formerly practiced medicine in Harrison is accused of raping a patient after surgery.
According to court documents, Dr. Guy Peeples is charged with the rape of a patent after a surgery at Baptist Health Hospital in Conway on November 9. According to the probable cause affidavit from the Conway Police Department A nurse who was monitoring the patient on a video feed as a precaution with a fall risk witnessed the encounter which included Peeples inappropriately touching the victim and also picking up her hand and having it contact parts of his body.
Peeples was eventually questioned and admitted to the behavior and is currently in the Faulkner County Jail pending the posting of a $5 million bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for December 8.
According to online searches plus information from the Harrison Daily Times, Peeples did work at a practice in Harrison prior to working in Conway.
