Between prescribed burns and grass fires that have flared up, Lakes Area residents may have notice some smoky, hazy conditions.
A post on the Central Taney County Fire Protection District Facebook page, states that crews worked several natural cover first and a structure fire with assistance from the Mark Twain Forestry Fire Team, along with Bradleyville Fire Department and Protem Fire.
In addition, Ozarks First reports that prescribed burns have been continuing in areas of the Mark Twain National Forest adding to the smoky conditions.
Red Flag Warnings remain in effect for southern Missouri with cautions against outside burning being issued by many officials in both southern Missouri and northern Arkansas.
