
The 33rd annual Craw Days is this Friday and Saturday, according to Allison Black.
Black appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to talk all about it. It starts at 5 p.m. on May 16. The weekend will feature the crawdad eating contest, the carnival and more. Adults can enter for $25. Adults will face the challenge of eating three pounds.
The event will feature new activities...
- Pigtail, ponytail, mullet and mohawk contest - free to enter
- Bubblegum blowing contest
- Pup parade and costume contest
- Blacksmith demonstrations and classes
- Exotic animal petting zoo
- A kids' crawdad eating contest - The challenge is to eat 20 crawfish before the competitors.
Attendees will get to enjoy live music. On Friday, Seven South will kick off the music for the event at 8 p.m. On Saturday, Kickin' Country will play at 5:30 p.m., and Whistling Dixie will play at 8 p.m.
Black said vendor spots are almost filled, but three spots are open. Volunteers are needed for many parts of the event.
