Harrison Assistant Police Chief John Cagle spoke with KHOZ’s Around The Table on Friday about the July 4 cookout; Cagle will be cooking there.
The Cooking for Kids barbeque will raise money for children benefit group Christian Children's Ministry. The proceeds will also go toward the Shopping with a Cop event from Harrison Police Department Cops and Kids. That event is a partnership with local law enforcement. Cagle’s favorite food to smoke is ribs. “Right now there are 14 [smokers],” he said. There are still spots open to register to smoke at the barbeque.
It will take place at the south side of the Historic Harrison Square. There is a $25 entry fee if it was paid by June 26. The fee is $35 if paid after June 26. According to exploreharrison.com, “$5 gets you a sample and one vote from all grillers.”
The full show featuring Cagle is on Around The Table’s Facebook Page.
