With the exceptions of Boone and Baxter Counties, most areas of northern Arkansas remain under a ban for Outdoor Burning.
The latest map issued by the Arkansas Department of Agriculture indicates that surrounding counties Carroll, Madison, Newton, Searcy, and Marion remain under bans as ordered by their respective county judges.
A lack of rainfall and current low humidity are factors in the bans remaining in place.
Rain is in the forecast for early next week but conditions until then are expected to remain dry.
