A town hall meeting to hear from proponents of further conserving the Buffalo National River takes place on Thursday.
The meeting, organized by the Remnants Project will be at 6:00 in the Jasper School Cafeteria.
The meeting will include discussion on some proposals that would see the Buffalo River transition from a National River to a National Park Preserve. Jasper Mayor Mike Thomas will moderate the meeting which will include many stakeholders on both sides of the issue.
According to a Facebook post from the Remnants Project, a large crowd is expected with limited parking. More information for the meeting can be found on their Facebook Page.
