Branson Police Releases More Information on Weekend Standoff

A follow-up report to the standoff Saturday in Branson includes the discovery of illegal weapons.

According to the release posted Tuesday by the Branson Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Gretna Road for what was believed to be a domestic violence situation with a weapon involved. While officers were not able to get a response from the motel room where the individuals were located, the officers did identify that the involved persons were possibly involved in a Vice Investigation involving weapons. 

The Branson SWAT Team was dispatched to the scene and eventually search warrants were secured for the room which the SWAT Team Secured. Illegal firearms and accessories as well as illegal narcotics were discovered in the room.

One individual, 42-year-old Colt Hicks of Louisiana was arrested and is facing a felony charge involving the illegal weapons and a misdemeanor charge involving the drugs and paraphernalia. Further charges may be brought up as the investigation continues. 

According to jail records, Holt is being held in the Taney County Jail without bond.
