Harrison nonprofit Branded Equine Based Therapy Services is a national adoption center for wild mustangs, according to the organization's founder, Lindsey Gabbard.
Gabbard appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" to air the group's latest news. Branded will host an adoption event on its property on July 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adoptions will happen on a first-come, first-served basis. She said more than 20 horses are up for adoption. Adoption fees start at $125.
Prior to the adoption event, Branded will host an informative open house event on July 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
There are options when it comes to adoption. The founder said people who choose to adopt can pick up their horse if they have the appropriate facility or leave the horse with Branded to train first before going home with their new owner.
They provide therapy to people of all abilities. Gabbard said that includes physical, occupational and speech therapy.
Branded also offers a program for veterans and first responders to train a wild mustang. For more information, Branded is available via phone at 870-302-9277. More was discussed in the broadcast.
