A Boone County man has been arrested for inappropriately touching a nine-year-old girl.
61-year-old Richard Everman Jr. of rural Harrison was arrested following an investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the victim told investigators Everman touched her inappropriately multiple times while they were swimming. Everman, who is described as a family friend, took the victim swimming several times where crimes happened.
During questioning by investigators, Everman said he didn’t remember doing anything inappropriate, but his memory is not very good. He said if the victim said it happened, it could have.
Everman is facing three felony charges of sexual indecency with a child. His bond is set at $25,000.
