A man from Boone County is facing charges after fleeing from officers in a high-speed pursuit earlier this month.
According to court documents filed by the Harrison Police Department, 20-year-old Samuel Sumers of Everton had been pursed on his motorcycle by Arkansas State Police when he entered the city of Harrison and city police picked up the pursuit, which at times reached over 145 MPH. The pursuit continued through the city until the motorcycle crossed the Arkansas-Missouri Boarder.
Investigation by Harrison Police discovered the motorcycle had been stopped a few days earlier and identified Sumers as the driver. He was contacted and voluntarily came to the Harrison Police Department where he confessed to being the driver of the motorcycle.
Sumers is facing three felony counts for the incident with his next court date set for November 19.
