A Boone County man is charged with rape after having a sexual relationship with an underage female.
According to Court Documents, 19-year-old Elijah James Barnicle-McCallum of Harrison is facing those charges after the father of a 13-year-old female reported the relationship to the Harrison Police Department. Barnicle-McCallum was interviewed by officers and initially denied the relationship then later admitted to knowing the victim but claimed she told him she was 17. He admitted to a sexual relationship, but only one time prior to finding out her age.
Evidence was uncovered later that indicated Barnicle-McCallum had in fact not had sex prior to knowing her real age but had sex with her at least eight times since with the victim claiming she was pregnant by him. The evidence collecting included a letter between the two and text message turned in by the victims father. The relationship is alleged to have taken place in September and October of 2025.
Barnicle-McCallum is in the Boone County Detention Center on a $10,000 Bond. He is scheduled to appear in Boone County Circuit Court on Monday.
