The 15th Annual Million Meals Campaign coordinated through four states by Arvest Bank continues through the end of the month.

During a recent interview on New Country 1029's "Livin' Life with Lisa" Program, Spree Ragland of Arvest Bank said the campaign helps raise awareness and money for food banks and pantries that operate within the Arvest Footprint in Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

The Food Bank of North Central Arkansas is one of the organizations that benefit from the Million Meals Campaign, and Ragland says the the bank will have their annual BBQ Lunch Cookout fundraiser from 11-2 next Wednesday at the Arvest Downtown Harrison location.

Jeff Quick, Chief Executive Officer of the Food Bank of NCA, during the interview added that this program helps educate the public on the services their and other organizations provide to the region.

The Food Bank of NCA as well as the Springfield based Ozarks Food Harvest helps supply food to pantries across their regions. In addition to the Food Banks, other organizations in the Lakes Region benefiting from the Million Meals Program include Christian Action Ministries in Branson, The Alliance of Churches Food Pantry in Shell Knob, Loaves and Fishes Hungary Kids Program in Berryville, Flint Street Fellowship in Eureka Springs, and the School Backpack Programs in Flippin and Yellville.
