Wanda Fay Phipps, age 82, of Hollister, Missouri.
Wanda Fay Phipps, age 82, of Hollister, Missouri, passed away September 19, 2024, at home with family by her side. She entered this life June 22,1942, with twin Wayne Mikkelson, in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Alfred and Daisy (Learned) Mikkelson. She was joined in marriage December 25, 1961, to L. D. “Bernie” Phipps.
Wanda was known as the most loving, kind, and sweet person you could ever meet. She has a legacy of hospitality by always making you feel welcome and remembering ‘your’ favorite things. Wanda was known for her love of children and making sure they knew the love of Jesus. She will be dearly missed by all.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Bernie Phipps; three children: Tamy (Steve) Bond of Hollister, Missouri, son, Buddy (Tammy) Phipps of Bolivar, Missouri, and son, Skipp (Becky) Phipps of Nixa, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; 2 ½ great-grandchildren; two sisters: Devita Beals of Miltonvale, Kansas, and Brenda (Larry) Messina of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and half-sister, Virginia Schifferns of Wyoming.
