  Wanda Fae Benfield, age 82, of Cassville, Missouri

            Wanda Fae Benfield, age 82, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at home.

            She was born April 2, 1941 in Glendale, Arizona the daughter of Austin and Bessie (Garret) Maple. On April 26, 1957 she was united in marriage to Bobbie Dale Benfield, who preceded her in death on July 14, 2017. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Donna Hernandez and two brothers, Jerry Maple and Leroy Didway.

            Surviving are three daughters, Connie Haney of Cassville, Missouri, Barbara Deschwanden and her husband Dave of Auburn, California and Christine Braden and her husband Eric of Orange, California; one sister, Dorothy Rowley of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

            Wanda worked at the State Hospital in California as a psychiatric technician for forty-five years. She had lived in Cassville for four months, moving from Tucson, Arizona. Wanda loved to read and go to church but most of all she loved her family. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

            Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville, Missouri.
