Walter Ray Pruitt, age 70, of Reeds Spring, Missouri.
Walter Ray Pruitt, age 70, of Reeds Spring, Missouri, passed away on January 5, 2025. He entered this life on October 10, 1954, in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Andrew and Cleta (Thomas) Pruitt. Walter was joined in marriage on February 22, 2002, to Teresa Rawlings.
Working as an arborist for many years, Walter enjoyed the great outdoors. He spent his time hunting and fishing with his dog, Shadow, who was his best friend. Walter was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and would try to never miss a game. He was greatly loved and will never be forgotten.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents: Andrew and Cleta Pruitt; granddaughter, Harley Jo Meadors; and best friend (dog), Shadow.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years, Teresa Pruitt; son, Shawn (Leslie) Pruitt of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, LeAnn (Tim) Taylor of Branson, Missouri; daughter, Bessie (Jimmy) Cook of Alma, Arkansas; and three grandchildren: Remington Cook, Oaklea Cook, and Brenley Pruitt.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday March 20, 2025, at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, 5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, Missouri.
