Tony James (“Mr. Show Biz”), 97 of Forsyth.
It is with profound sadness that we convey the passing of Tony James (“Mr. Show Biz”), 97 passed peacefully at home in Forsyth on May 10, 2024, with his loving wife, Elaine and family by his side. Tony was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Youngstown, Ohio. He was the son of Peter and Rose Torisk.
Tony and his wife Elaine moved to the area from Florida in 1979, starting his second career as an entertainment columnist for the Taylor Made News and as master of ceremonies for his Talent show “That’s Show Biz”. He served his country in the United State Navy.
Tony passed in Forsyth, surrounded by his wife Elaine and family: James (Lora), Dale (Nancy) Robert (Patricia) , and Harry (Connie) VanDerPloeg. Tony is survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great-children and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Tony will be interned at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Mo. at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
