Ryan Kenneth Cordes, age 38, of Kimberling City, Missouri

 

Ryan Kenneth Cordes, age 38, of Kimberling City, Missouri, passed away May 1, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri, with family nearby. He entered this life May 22, 1984, in Urbana, Illinois, the son of David and Nancy (Gilbert) Cordes. He was joined in marriage December 30, 2004, to Nicole Schoenbrun.

Ryan proudly served our country in the United States Navy for ten years. His family was his whole world and he loved them very much. Ryan was constantly using his surroundings as object lessons for his children and grandchild. With a heart beyond measure, he possessed a personality that was kind, gentle, and loving. Among his happiest times were sitting on the dock, relaxing on the water, being with family, and cooking on the grill for others. His absence is going to leave a hole in many hearts.

Ryan is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Nicole Cordes of Kimberling City, Missouri; three children: Ryley Smith, Brady Cordes, and Mason Cordes; one granddaughter; mother, Nancy Cordes of Kimberling City, Missouri; sister, Sarah (Tayah) Geist of California; brother, Justin Cordes of Illinois; two nieces: Skylar Geist and Sofie Cordes; and nephew, Sullivan Geist.
