Ruth Ann Lautenschlager, age 68, of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, passed away November 6, 2024. She entered this life on May 16, 1956, the daughter of John and Delores (Rippe) Skeens in Council Bluff, Iowa. Ruth was joined in marriage on April 4, 1998, to William “Bill” Lautenschlager.
The best loving mother, Ruth spent Friday and Saturday nights watching scary movies with her daughters. She loved reading murder mysteries, dancing, and solving crosswords and word searches. Ruth was raised in Nebraska until she moved to the Ozarks in 1999 with her family. She adored being the silly lunch lady at Branson schools for many years before her retirement. Ruth enjoyed fishing on Taneycomo with Bill and creating memories with her grandchildren. Some of her favorite things were butterflies, dragonflies, ice cream, and peanut butter. The memories and moments created over the years will be cherished by all who knew her.
Ruth is survived by her sisters: Joann, Betty, and Virginia; brothers: Johnny and David; children: Toby, Jannetta, April, and Alyssa; as well as several stepchildren, grandchildren, and extended family members.
She is preceded in death by husband of nine years, Bill Lautenschlager; parents: John and Delores Skeens; brother, Ray; and grandson, Troy.
