Roger Wicklein, age 84, Branson, Missouri
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Roger Wicklein, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at his home in Branson at the age of 84.
Roger was born to Harold & Clara (Wiles) Wicklein on March 22, 1939 in Decatur, IL. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Roger married the love of his life, Joyce in California. They began their family there and later moved to Branson from San Marcos, CA.
Roger enjoyed being active. Fishing, boating, mowing the lawn and playing poker were some of his favorite pastimes. Time spent with his family and friends, was what he treasured most. He enjoyed the company of others and making them laugh with his jokes. His smile, love and presence will be deeply missed.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Kenneth Wicklein and one brother, Lyle Wicklein.
Roger is survived by his wife Joyce Wicklein of Branson; children, Cheryl Mummaw of Branson, Ronald Wicklein of Merriam Woods and Susan Hornbeck (Terry) of Nixa; brothers, Darrell Wicklein (Sandie) of Las Vegas, NV, John Wicklein of Indiana, Gerald Wicklein (Pam) of Cape Fair, MO; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Roger was laid to rest with full military honors in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 in a private family ceremony. Arrangements were under the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
