Robert Dale Wagner: February 24, 1952 - May 11, 2022.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Bethany (Mark) Aman; three grandsons: Cooper Aman, Marcus Wagner and Jace Aman. He is also survived by his three sisters: Jo Ann (Robert) Beiser, Deborah (Rob) Schumaker, and Donna (Christopher) Furlow; nieces and nephews: Mellissa (Lococo) Kurrus, Kenneth Lococo, Jacqueline (Wagner) Fowler and James Beiser; aunts and an uncle; and countless cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Walter Frank and Mary Alice (Turner) Wagner; and a brother, Walter Eugene “Gene” Wagner.
Roberts biggest loves were exploring, writing and poker. He had been employed many years in the newspapers writing sports. Starting at the Meridian Star in Meridian, Mississippi, then over to Jackson before coming home to explore other options. Robert moved on to Odessa, Texas at the Odessa American then home to once again regroup. He retired from Verizon and continued to move about the country with abandon where he finally settled in Branson. Robert has explored all he can in Branson and succumbed to heart failure after a brief resurgence of congestive heart failure. He requested cremation and no services. The ashes are to be handled according to his will.
