Ray Glendon Buckles, age 61, Branson, Missouri
Ray Glendon Buckles, age 61, passed away from cancer on April 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. He entered this life on May 28, 1961, the son of Paul Glendon and Ruth (Seim) Buckles in Nevada, Missouri. Ray grew up in Walker, Missouri. He was joined in marriage to Gail Gillespie on August 15, 1987.
Ray was taken too soon at the young age of 61 and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an engineer by trade and an entrepreneur with big dreams. Ray was an active member of his church and served in various roles at the church over the years. He was always ready to go on an adventure with Gail and loved traveling. Ray was always appreciative of the relationships he cultivated over the years with extended family, cousins, and dear friends who supported him greatly during his last year.
He is survived by Gail, his wife of thirty-five years and their two children: Draiy and Jared.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service at 2:00 p.m., and again after the service until 4:00 p.m. Saturday May 6, 2023, at Bloom Church, 2353 State Hwy 248, Branson, Missouri, with Pastor Mike Carlton officiating. Light refreshments will be served before and after the service. The family requests that instead of flowers, friends and family bring a handwritten favorite memory of Ray that his family can keep.
