Peter Henderson, Jr., age 93, of Shell Knob, Missouri.

Peter Henderson, Jr., age 93, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

He was born December 1, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Peter Henderson, Sr., and Harriet (Hodek) Henderson. On July 9, 1983 he was united in marriage to Beverly Frank, who survives. Also surviving are his son, Robert Henderson and his wife Mary of Nashville, Tennessee; four daughters, Sandy Mol and her husband Jan of Aitkin, Minnesota, Laura Henderson of Chicago, Illinois, Jennifer Malkowski of Shell Knob, Missouri and Leslie Gordon and her husband Tom of Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and son, John Henderson.

Peter grew up and attended school in Cicero, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1949 until 1953. Peter was employed in sales for a packaging company. He was an athlete through and through. Peter loved softball; he played until the age of 85. While playing his last game, on his last at bat, he hit a homerun. At 75, he undertook the ambitious task of building a home in Shell Knob for himself and Beverly, where they spent twenty treasured years. Some of his favorite pastimes were woodworking and going camping, but most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
