
Peggy Lou Inskeep, 85, passed away on August 20, 2025.
Peggy Lou Inskeep was born on March 12, 1940 in Tryon, Oklahoma to Noble and Beatrice Walters and departed this world on August 20, 2025 in Springfield, Missouri. Peggy was one of seven children. Jackie, Jimmie, Raymond, Guy, Carolyn, and Ann.
She married Oliver Dee Inskeep on April 22, 1959. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. They were blessed with 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. She worked as a nursing home administrator in Chandler, Oklahoma for 30 years before retiring and moving to Branson, Missouri. She managed the Salvation Army thrift store in Branson, where she met and made many friends over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to music shows, trout fishing in Cassville, Missouri, sewing, watching sports and of course she never missed her soap operas. Peggy loved her Boston terrier Bunny and was asking about her till the very end. She enjoyed cooking, especially around the holidays and her family couldn’t wait for her homemade noodles and pies.
Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raymond and Guy Walters, sisters Carolyn Vassar and Ann Doak, husband Oliver Dee, and daughter in law Mona Inskeep.
Her surviving family includes her brothers Jackie Walters of Cushing, Oklahoma and Jimmie Walters of Agra, Oklahoma. Her oldest son Jeff Inskeep and his children Amber Inskeep, her son Brady, and Brandon Inskeep with his children Kinzlee, Macee, and Coree and their mother Amber Inskeep. Peggy’s daughter DeeAnna Rollins, and Peggy’s youngest son Tim Inskeep and ex-wife Michele Louviere and their children; Dylan Inskeep and Mary Cross, Eli Inskeep, his children Link and Luna with their mother Kayla Inskeep, Emily Inskeep, and Olivia Snider with her husband Drew Snider and their two boys Jett and Sloan. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening, August 26, 2025 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in Lifeline Assembly in Cushing, OK. Burial will follow in Star Valley Cemetery, Chandler, OK.
