Michael “Mike” Allen Groves, age 64, passed away on February 21, 2026.
Michael “Mike” Allen Groves, age 64, of Kirbyville, Missouri, entered the arms of his Savior on February 21, 2026. He was born in China Lake, California on September 28, 1961, the son of Lionel and Sheila (Wuopio) Groves. His father has preceded him in death. On July 26, 1991, Mike vowed his life to his forever love, Teri Blades. This earned him the nickname “Husband,” which many friends refer to him. Husband and Teri have shared over 40 years together.
With a passion for spending time outdoors, Mike treasured every moment in nature, whether relaxing by the lake or enjoying the beach. He thoroughly enjoyed the thirty years he lived in Hawaii. Mike took pleasure in boating, fishing, hunting, listening to music, and especially enjoyed “taking something old and broken down and make it beautiful again.” He was known for his patriotism as well as his strong support for the 49ers. Mike had a talent for starting conversations with anyone he met, treated new acquaintances like friends, and was always willing to help those in need. Above else, he loved spending time with his family. The memories and moments created throughout his incredible life will be treasured by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife of forty years, Teri Groves of Kirbyville, Missouri; children: Sheri Wills and husband, Daryn of California, Kyle Groves and wife, Amber of California, Kalei Heyer and husband, Keith of Kirbyville, Missouri; grandchildren: Michaela, Brody, Maddox, Hendrix; and great-grandchildren: Kinslee and Makiah. He is also survived by his mother, Sheila Groves of Forsyth, Missouri; siblings: Diane (Mark) Digman of Kirbyville, Missouri, Ronald Groves of Forsyth, Missouri, Sheileen (Troy) Wills of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; and beloved dogs, Cooper and Lexi; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
There will be a celebration of life held in June. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence or share a memory, please visit http://www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
