Melissa Ann (Shamlin) Boehmke, 43, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas
In Loving Memory of Melissa Ann (Shamlin) Boehmke April 12, 1982 – August 11, 2025 Melissa Ann (Shamlin) Boehmke, 43, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Born in Little Rock on April 12, 1982, Melissa was the cherished daughter of Melody Rhein of Pine Bluff and Kelly and Denise Shamlin of Benton. Melissa lived a life marked by love, faith, and joy. She was a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, a daughter full of life, a sibling full of laughter, and a loyal friend to many. Her love for God was the foundation of her life. Her trust in Him was her strength through her courageous fight as a cancer survivor. She drew strength from her faith and lived each day with a heart full of compassion, humility, and unwavering trust in the Lord. Her children—Cameron, Chandler, and Maddalyn—were the lights of her life.
She loved them more than words could ever express and found her greatest joy in being their mom. Whether cheering them on, guiding them, or just laughing with them, she poured every ounce of herself into their lives. Melissa’s sense of humor was one of her trademarks. She had a gift for making people laugh—especially her family. She was always ready with a quick wit or a playful tease, and her laughter was the kind that filled a room and warmed hearts. An avid lover of the outdoors, Melissa was most at peace with a fishing pole in hand, whether casting lines on a quiet riverbank or enjoying the stillness of a lake. She also had a passion for hunting and kayaking—finding serenity and strength in nature’s wild beauty. Melissa had a deep love for cooking and was always trying new recipes, especially those that featured her favorite ingredient—bacon. Her meals nourished more than just the body; they were shared with love, laughter, and stories.
She is survived by her loving husband, Aaron Boehmke, and her three beloved children, Cameron, Chandler, and Maddalyn. She also leaves behind her devoted parents, Melody Rhein, and Kelly and Denise Shamlin; her siblings: Donnie (April) Shamlin, Kelly (Reid) Clifton, Drew (Erica) Cox, Richard Shamlin, Amanda Cox, and Tim Konecny; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. Melissa’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, love, and the joy found in everyday moments.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in the promise of Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Diamond City Methodist Church, located at 113 Sunset Drive, Diamond City, Arkansas, with Pastor Cook officiating the service.
Arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
