Mai Kue Yang Vang

Mai Kue Yang Vang, age 53, passed away on February 9, 2026.

Mai Kue Yang Vang, of Wheaton, Missouri, passed away on February 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM, at the age of 53. She was born in the village of Phousvan, Xiengkhoung Province, Laos. Mai Kue Yang was born into the Hmong Yang clan. Her parents were Nyiaj Ntxwv Yang and Ntxoo Xyooj, of Phousvan Village, Xiengkhoung, Laos.

Mai Kue Yang Vang is survived by her husband, Zoov Zuag Vaj, and their six children. Their three sons are Vwj Vaj, Zoo Vaj, and Tub Tshaj Vaj. Their three daughters are Paj Tshiab Vaj, Npauj Npaim Vaj, and Suab Nag Vaj. Her husband Zoov Zuag Vaj’s parents (her parents-in-law) are Tswv Choj Vaj and Ntxhiav Yaj, also from Phousvan Village, Laos.

Mai Kue Yang came to live in Detroit, Michigan in 2009, and later moved to Wheaton, Missouri in 2010 to be near relatives, where she remained until her passing. She worked at George’s Processing Plant Company up until her illness no longer allowed her to continue.

Mai Kue Yang was a devoted wife and mother. She worked hard every day to support her family and help her husband provide for their household. She loved her children deeply. She enjoyed raising animals such as chickens, pigs, and cattle, and also enjoyed gardening and farming around her home. She was friendly, kind, easy to talk to, and deeply committed to her life and family.

Her dreams were to live a good life, to provide financial stability, to raise successful children, to have a comfortable home, and to live a long life into old age. But fate was not on her side, as her illness did not leave her, and she passed away suddenly, leaving everyone in shock and deep sorrow.

Her passing is a heartbreaking loss to her family, relatives, and friends. We will miss you dearly. Seeing your photos or hearing your voice will remind us of you. Her children will now grow up without their mother, and the loving voice that once called them will slowly fade. The pain is beyond words.

She leaves behind a grieving husband and young children. The home will feel quiet without her. There will be no one to prepare meals as before. When the children cry, their father will cry with them. When they see others with their mothers, they will miss her even more. Her children are still young and not yet grown, and we wonder when the tears will finally stop. Rest peacefully.

Finally, the family would like to thank all relatives, loved ones, and friends who came to support and honor Mai Kue Yang Vang one last time. We wish everyone good health and peace. Thank you.
