Loretta Virginia Larecy, age 93, of Cassville, MO
Loretta Virginia Larecy, age 93, of Cassville, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, August 15, 2021.
Loretta was born July 11th, 1928 in Cato, Missouri to Willis and Audra (Beshears) Brooks. On November 13th, 1948 she was united in marriage to William Larecy, who preceded her in death in 2017. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Richard and Gene Brooks; sister, Georgia Hollingsworth and brothers-in-law, Jerry Hollingsworth, Charles Larecy, John Larecy and Preston Cockrell.
Loretta is survived by her children, Vickie Brutke and husband Bob of Kentucky, Cindy Larecy and Jeff & Bev Bicksler Larecy all of Cassville; four grandchildren (Andrea Kovall & husband Rhett, Bryan Brutke & wife Becca, Brandon and Dylan Bicksler) and seven great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Louise Brooks of Cassville, Joan Larecy, Darlene Larecy and Charlene Cockrell of Roseburg, Oregon, and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Loretta graduated from Cassville Senior High School class of ’46. Loretta and Bill lived in Oregon for 30 years, where she worked as a bookkeeper. Loretta had a great work ethic, and did not change jobs frequently. During their years in Oregon family camping, fishing and hunting trips were enjoyed by Loretta and Bill, along with extended family. She especially enjoyed their trips to the Oregon Coast to go deep sea fishing. Loretta and Bill returned to Cassville in the early 1990’s to be near her family during their retirement. During that time the couple opened an appliance repair business which kept Loretta using her bookkeeping skills and meeting the public, which she enjoyed immensely. Loretta was a lifelong member of the Mill Street Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
