Leanne Faye Baker

Leanne Faye Baker, age 60, passed away on February 24, 2026.

Leanne Faye (Kirkpatrick) Baker was born  on November 14, 1965.  She was the beloved daughter of Don & Beverly (Spence) Kirkpatrick and grew up in Irvine, CA. On April 1, 1989, she married David A. Baker, Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada.  In June of 1991, the couple moved to Grants Pass, OR.  Looking for a change of pace and opportunity to get closer to extended family, they moved their family to Poplar Bluff in July, 2006.  In 2015, they adopted two of their grandchildren, James and Andrea.  Life transplanted them to Ozark, MO and since 2021 they have called Merriam Woods home.

Leanne was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, grandchildren especially, sharing laughter and stories. Leanne’s creativity shone through her lifelong passion for crafts, which she turned into a cherished home business.
She found peace and joy in the great outdoors, especially during camping and fishing trips with family and friends. At home, Leanne’s affection extended to her beloved pets, who were constant companions. She was always ready for a heartfelt conversation, offering thoughtful advice and a listening ear to her many friends.

Leanne entered into rest on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from Cox Medical Center in Branson.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  
She is survived by her husband, David Baker, Jr. of Merriam Woods; her children, Joshua Baker of Merriam Woods, Nicholas Baker (Kelsey) of Springfield, Makenna Segura (Brett) of Springfield, Andrea Baker and James Baker of Merriam Woods; grandchildren, Kesleigh, Jaxon, Lukas and Brantley; her mother, Beverly Kirkpatrick of Irvine, CA and Hollister, MO; her sister, Joni Kirkpatrick of Irvine and brother Thomas Kirkpatrick of Irvine; adopted kids, Jonathon & Morgan Alford as well as several extended family members and many friends.

Leanne was preceded in death by her father, Don Kirkpatrick and brother, Keith Kirkpatrick.

Services for Leanne will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, 1638 E. State Hwy 76, Branson, MO.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am with the funeral service to follow at noon.
