Jo Ellen Weathers, age 77, of Republic, Missouri
Jo Ellen Weathers, age 77, of Republic, Missouri, passed away on January 2, 2023. She entered this life on September 14, 1945, in Harrison, Arkansas, the daughter of Richard Farris and Bernice Juanita (Foresee) Fain. Jo was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Farris Fain.
Working in the healthcare industry, Jo aided others as a registered nurse. As she cared for others, her greatest joy was being with and loving her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who knew her as the best grandma, Grams, and MeMaw. Jo lived in Lead Hill, Arkansas for several years and then moved to Kansas City, Kansas where she lived for most of her life. The memories created throughout the years will never be forgotten and will be cherished forever.
Jo is survived by her son, Charles Weathers (Megan Schiesl) of Kansas City, Missouri, and four sisters: Margo (Doug) Wood of Olathe, Kansas, Judy (Larry) Trout of Prairie Village, Kansas, Janice (Rick) Bruty of Shawnee, Kansas, and Joyce (Curtis) Kivett of Merriam, Kansas. She is also survived by three grandchildren: Samantha (Jacob) Steed of Republic, Missouri, Rachel Weathers of Kansas City, Kansas, and Anjuli Vetrushka of Raytown, Missouri; six great-grandchildren: Adrian, Tristan, Ryder, Agatha, Adaline, and Henry; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
