Jeri Pollett, age 79, passed away on March 24, 2026.
Jeri Pollett, at the age of 79 of Branson, Missouri, passed away on March 24, 2026, with family by her side. She was born and raised in La Salle, Illinois, the daughter of Elsie and August Battaglia on September 13, 1946.
As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she was eager and happy to talk about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ, His Son. She was a strong tower, never wanting to show any weakness as a single mother raising three children on her own for many years until she married William Pollett on April 10, 1981. She always gave more of herself than expected and always took care of others. She was so full of love and kindness. Jeri loved to entertain her friends in the congregation by having people over to her home. If there was food served, she expected you to eat or else. She would say the Italian word “munja,” which means eat, constantly until you did. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed Sunday family dinners surrounding the table, and everyone was expected to be there, or you better be dying as she would say. She will be greatly missed. Her beautiful smile and her famous last words we will never forget...... I love you more forever & ever Hugs & Kisses.
Jeri was preceded in death by her husband, William Pollett; sister, Tony Diddle; and son, Mark Pollett. She is survived by her two daughters: Jennifer Stewart and husband, Matthew Stewart of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, and Beth Pollett of Ottawa, Illinois; sister, Pat Schmidt of La Salle, Illinois; and niece, Lisa and her husband, Loren. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Anthony and wife, Cassidy Head; Andrew and wife, Lacy Head; Ashley and husband, Stan Bishop; Cody Pollett; Alex Conness; and McKinley Pollett; as well as several great-grandchildren.
All were dearly loved. Mom was my lucy and I was her Ethel from I Love Lucy. I can hear still her saying her last words, “I love you, baby girl.” ~ Jennifer
