James R. “Rex” Rodebush, age 74
James R. “Rex” Rodebush, age 74, passed away on June 27, 2022. A private service for the family will be held at a later date. He was born in Rocky Ford, Colorado, and shortly after moved to Aurora, Missouri, where he was raised and graduated from Aurora High School.
Rex graduated from the University of Missouri in Rolla with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He dedicated his career to working with high-speed rotating equipment (compressors, jet engines, and centrifuges) in various positions in Milwaukee and Cincinnati. Rex returned to retire on Table Rock Lake in 2008. With his training in engineering coupled with his passion for flying, he built and flew an experimental aircraft out of the Branson West Airport.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons: Matt (Jill), Curt (Sandy), and Glen (Katie)l and grandsons: Jake, Liam, Nick, and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Alba (Simpson) Rodebush, and sister and brother.
