James Fredrick Plummer, age 88, of Cassville, Missouri.
James Fredrick Plummer, age 88, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his home.
He was born June 4, 1933 in Boulder, Colorado the son of Roy and Ruth (Springer) Plummer. On May 18, 1981 in San Diego, California he was united in marriage to Selma Simmons, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, Robert Thompson and his wife Dianna of Cassville, Missouri, Paul Thompson and his wife Natalie of Louisiana and Craig Thompson and his wife Francis of Oregon; two daughters, Teresa Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona and Edith Thompson of Cassville, Missouri; nine grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Donna and one son, John Thompson.
James graduated from Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating he joined the United States Navy and served twenty-three years from where he retired. After retiring he began working at Cubic Incorporated in Saudi Arabia as a trainer in ship warfare for several years. Twenty-three years ago, James and Selma moved to this area from Saudi Arabia. He enjoyed reading about the United States Navy and war, he liked to collect collectables and was a wonderful Grandpa.
