J.D. Martin, 88, passed away on September 5, 2025.
J.D. Martin, age 88, of Seligman, Missouri passed away Friday, September 5, 2025 at his home.
He was born October 27, 1936 in Westville, Oklahoma the son of Albert and Zeela (Still) Martin. On May 12, 1962 he was united in marriage to Betty Lundy, who preceded him in death on October 1, 2015. Also preceding him in death were his parents and sisters, Katherin Edwards and Darlene Ricketts.
Surviving are his son, Dennis Martin of Seligman, Missouri; daughter, Teresa Martin of Seligman, Missouri; five grandchildren, Vanessa (Michael), Travis (Katelyn), Matthew (Amanda), Brittany (Kristopher) and Briana (Tristan) and 11 great grandchildren.
J.D. attended school in Washburn, Missouri graduating from Southwest High School in Washburn. He served in the United States Army. J.D. was employed by Hudson Foods in the maintenance department for 32 years from where he retired. He enjoyed gardening, riding his tractor and fishing, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Brent Ferguson will conduct the services.
