Homer John “Jake” Forester, age 93, of Aurora, Missouri.
Homer John “Jake” Forester, age 93, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Mercy Hospital Cassville, in Cassville, Missouri.
He was born in Galena, Missouri on December 23, 1929 the son of Henry and Opal (Branstetter) Forester. On March 2, 1951 in Cape Fair, Missouri he was united in marriage to Lanora Wilson, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2014. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Irene Beck and a baby brother, Irvin.
Surviving are two sons, Greg Forester and his wife Cindy of Aurora, Missouri and Farrell Forester and his wife Connie of Strafford, Missouri; five grandchildren, Christopher, Mason and Brandon Forester, Kimberly Reed and Megan McReynolds and eleven great-grandchildren, Connor, Halle, Maverick, Casen, Bailey, Bexley, Emilia, Colton, Rylee, Chase and Remi Jo.
Jake grew up and attended Vine Hill School in Galena, Missouri. He was an over road truck driver and owned and operated his own truck. He enjoyed metal detecting and was always working, even mowing his own yard last summer. He was a member of Life Fellowship in Aurora, Missouri.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 16, 2023 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Greg Forester will conduct the services. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
