Helen Marie O’Dell, age 65, of Golden, Missouri
Helen Marie O’Dell, age 65, of Golden, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at her home.
She was born May 4, 1957 in Clinton, Indiana the daughter of William E. and Virginia (Armstrong) Shepherd. On November 3, 1992 in Miami, Oklahoma she was united in marriage to Jimmy L. O’Dell, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2018. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, John Shepherd and Robert Shepherd and one grandaughter, Halli Nikole Resz.
Surviving are one son, Jack Ray Sanders and his wife Traci of Seligman, Missouri; two daughters, Bonnie Resz and her husband Jared Craig of Cassville, Missouri and Tami Wainscott of Huntsville, Arkansas; one cousin who was like a sister, Brenda Apsey of Golden, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Helen graduated from North Arkansas College in Harrison, Arkansas in 2004 where she attained a four-year degree in nursing. After living in Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas she returned to this area in 1991 settling in Golden, Missouri. She was employed by Brighton Ridge Nursing Home in Eureka Springs, Arkansas where she worked for several years. Helen enjoyed going to the beach and flea markets. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Golden Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 2:00P.M. Friday, November 11, 2022 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Shaun Crawford will conduct the services.
