Geraldine F. VanderVeen, age 77, of Branson West, Missouri.
Geraldine F. VanderVeen, age 77, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away February 26, 2024, after a long battle with cancer. She entered this life January 10, 1947, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Irving Ernest and Josephine Mae (Chisholm) Holober. Her parents have preceded her in death. She was joined in marriage June 30, 2001, to Hans Vanderveen.
Jeri was very gifted at growing flowers, singing, square dancing, and exercising. She was happy to attend First Baptist Church of Kimberling City. Jeri was an outdoor enthusiast who loved all animals and birds. She could be found rummaging at estate sales, reading, and was happy to travel (as long as Hans was not driving.) Jeri had a laugh that was contagious and a quick wit. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Jeri is survived by her husband of almost 24 years, Hans Vanderveen; daughter, Karen deMoet of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; four sons: Doug (Kristina) Lightfoot of Crestline, California, Matthew (Aimee) Vanderveen of Grants Pass, Oregon, Hans Chad (Alison) Vanderveen of Folsom, California, and Joshua (Shannon) Vanderveen of Yucaipa, California; nine grandchildren; two sisters: Lori Dailey of Melbourne, Florida, and Leta Houle of Fall Brook, California; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
No formal services are currently planned. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.cremationsoftheozarks.com.
