Jake also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends camping, earning him the title “camper grandpa.” He was devoted to the Lord and spent time daily focusing on his faith.
Jake was preceded in death by his parents: Freddie and Pearl Jakob and his son-in-law, Tom.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jakob; five children: Allen (Susan) Jakob, Sheila (Brian) Lockhorn, Amy Sassatelli, Sharon (Julian) Martinez, and Sarah (Johnny) Schrunk; fourteen grandchildren: Delaney (Andy) Labenz, Amber Summey, Halleigh (Brady) Standage, Kayla (fiancé Alan) Martinez, Nicolas Sassatelli, Kade Lockhorn, Cameron (Dalton) Wemer, Molly Sassatelli, Jack (Halee) Schrunk, Chase Lockhorn, Michael Jakob, David Martinez, Sedona Schrunk, and Marina Schrunk; four great-grandsons; many other family members; and a host of friends from “the gym” and “the ranch.”
Jake requested no formal service, but a family get together will happen at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at Bonnie Jakob, c/o Sarah Schrunk, 6702 State Hwy DD, Branson West, Missouri 65737, for later designation to Compassus Hospice of Branson, Missouri, and Southern Stone County EMS.
