Gary Dale Pollard, age 78, passed away on July 22, 2025.
Gary Dale Pollard, age 78, of Branson West, Missouri, passed away July 22, 2025. He entered this life on January 2, 1947, the son of Hollis “Eugene” and Glenda “Alline” (Wright) Pollard in Batesville, Indiana. Gary was joined in marriage on June 19, 1992, to Marion Iffert Rowney.
Always with a huge smile on his face, Gary was a kind, loving, and generous man. He loved camping, going on trips, and woodworking. Gary was gifted with a love of learning and received three master’s degrees. He was supervisor of the chemistry department at St. John’s Hospital for many years before advancing to working for HPG setting up their computer systems. The love and memories created over his lifetime will be cherished by all who knew him.
Gary is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Marion Pollard of Branson, West; son, Aaron Pollard and wife, Borianna of St. Petersburg, Florida; stepdaughter, Michelle Stokes and husband, Mike of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren: Alex Pollard, Vance Rowney, and Shane Rowney; two sisters: Tina Davis and husband, Sam and Glenna Goss, both of Enid, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; and stepson, Wayne Rowney.
There will be a celebration of life held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday October 5, 2025, at Cooper Estate Clubhouse, 1311 N Cooper Blvd, Springfield, Missouri. Casual dress is requested per Gary’s wishes. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
