Elton Oren Bishop, age 77, of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, passed away at home March 31, 2024. He entered this life June 3, 1946, in Borger, Texas, the son of Elton and Carol (Partington) Bishop.
Elton proudly served our country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He worked at many things during his life and particularly enjoyed being a foreman for construction. Elton could be found fishing, boating, riding motorcycles, performing weddings, laughing, and being onery to those he loved. He had a sense of humor and the heat of the battle in debating. He was well loved and will be missed greatly.
Elton is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Bishop; and sister, Joette Watson.
He is survived by his significant other, Carol Peterson of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; son, Elton Bishop of Iowa; daughter, Jessica (Zachary Peyton) Rawlins of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; three grandchildren: Konnor Brown, Kinslee Brown, and Keeley Jordan; sister, Joyce Lowry of California; and best friend, Joshua.
