Donald Leroy Hitz, 70 of Rockaway Beach, Mo.
Donald Leroy Hitz, 70 of Rockaway Beach, Mo. passed away peacefully at his home on May 17, 2025, with his family by his side. Donald was born on March 1, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois to Donald Edward and Ruthe Ann Hitz. Donald married the love of his life Lisa Ann Meyer on August 24, 2002, they celebrated twenty-two years together last fall. Donald drove a truck, managed a gas station, and worked as a laborer in many trades during his lifetime.
Donald was a small hobby farm owner which led him to enjoy the outdoors, he had a variety of poultry as well as dogs and cats. He loved to fish, hunt, and do metal scrapping. Donald also enjoyed crocheting, making beautiful dog leashes.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Lisa of the home; his mother Ruthe Hitz of Minn.; sons Vincent Ayers (Judy), Rockaway Beach, Mo., David Hitz (Danielle), Berlin, Wi., Justin Miller (Amanda), Wi., Timothy Dieringer, East Troy, Wi., daughters Susan Larison (Mike), Minn., Holli-Jene Keller, Wi., Meshelle Miller-Hitz- Rappold, (Tom), Janesville, Wi., one brother Doug Hitz (Darcy), North Carolina. and seventeen grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his father Donald Edward Hitz and one daughter Diana.
Memorial service will be Saturday, June 7, 2025, 2PM at 188 Horseshoe Lane, Rockaway Beach, Mo. Arrangements by Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
