Don McGuirt, 72 of Blue Eye MO
Don McGuirt, 72 of Blue Eye Missouri passed away August 17th at his home with his faithful best friend Blu by his side.
Don was born April 21,1949 in Charlotte NC to Bob & Hazel McGuirt. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, earning a national defense service medal. Don retired from the phone company in Branson in the early 2000’s after a successful career as a fiber optic technician. Don was an active member of Taney County Shriners and his local Branson Masonic lodge 587.
Don was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Joleen McGuirt in 2019. Don is survived by his son Joseph Gilbert of North Carolina, His sister Robin Hudgins of California and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him very much.
The family would love to see friends and family, fellowship and share stories with a celebration of Don’s life. Please join us at the outdoor pavilion at Don’s favorite restaurant Oasis Pizza on Saturday August 28th between 11:00am and 1:00pm. 11864 MO-E 86 Blue Eye, Mo 65611.
In honor of Don, donations can be made to the Shriners hospital for children in St Louis Missouri.
Cremation was under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
