Doc Tate, 62, passed away on August 8, 2025.
Doc was born August 5, 1963 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He grew up with a quick wit, a big heart, and a love for making people laugh. Doc worked in the oil fields in New Mexico for many years before relocating to Arkansas. He was known not only for his jokes, but also for being supportive, protective, his generosity and how strong he really was. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply sitting down to listen, Doc made everyone feel valued.
He will be remembered for the joy he brought to others, his unwavering loyalty to family and friends, and his love for his grandchildren. Doc dedicated his life to his family and put others before himself. We will miss his infectious laugh, sage advice, and countless ways he made our lives richer. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will live on through his grandchildren that knew him as “Papa Doc.”
