Debra "Debbie" Kay Hinman, 70, passed away on September 20, 2025.
Debra "Debbie" Kay Hinman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend was born in Jackson, Mississippi, December 18, 1954, to David and Yvonne Kaempfer. Debbie lived a life marked by selflessness, compassion, and quiet strength. As a nurse, she viewed her work as a true ministry, showing up for people in their most vulnerable moments, offering skill, comfort, care and understanding.
Debbie was the devoted mother of her only son, Robert Hinman, and the adoring grandmother (Mawmaw) of Justin Alexander and Riley Elise Hinman - the lights of her life whom she loved dearly. She also had a gentle heart for animals, especially her faithful companions Emmi, Bella, Wiley, and Momma Kitty. Their company brought her daily joy.
Debbie is survived by her son, Robert; grandchildren: Justin and Riley; siblings: Kim, Doug, Stacey, and Chris; and by a host of extended family and friends who will remember her generosity of spirit and her habit of putting others first. As Robert shares, his mother was “selfless, always putting other people before herself,” and that legacy of care will endure in every life she touched.
A service celebrating Debbie’s life will be held on September 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Temple, 3077 US-65 BUS, Hollister, MO 65672. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Taney County Animal Shelter (taneycounty.org) in her memory. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
