Daryl Lee Atkinson, 79, passed away on September 14, 2025.
Daryl Lee Atkinson, age 79, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on September 14, 2025. He entered this life on January 30, 1946, in Woodland, California, the son of Elmer and Mary (Fix) Atkinson. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Atkinson.
As a very independent person, Daryl strived to do things on his own and was a big advocate for politics. He enjoyed being part of the Republican party and watching Fox News whenever he could. Daryl retired from Redding, California Sanitation department after 27 years of service. He was a very hard worker and diligent in saving and providing for all his children. Daryl had an amazing sense of humor and loved going to Coast and A&W restaurant. One of his favorite pastimes was going out to eat. He enjoyed the flavors and time spent appreciating a good meal. Daryl gave generously to multiple organizations over the years. He will be remembered by all who knew him and will be never forgotten.
Daryl is survived by his daughter, Becky (Derek) Bray of Lakeview, Oregon; son, Timothy (Amy) Atkinson of Republic, Missouri; son, Dennis (Dianna) Atkinson of Branson West, Missouri; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildre; and sister, Kathy Atkinson-Lisman of Chico, California.
