Darren Lee Soard, age 57, of Shell Knob
Darren Lee Soard, age 57, of Shell Knob, Missouri passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born September 19, 1964 in Fremont, California the son of Ira Lee and Luceta Louise (DeBusk) Soard.
Surviving are his mother, Luceta Soard-Staats of Shell Knob, Missouri; one son, Tye Soard of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Brandee Klieber and her husband Timothy of Illinois; two brothers, Curtis Soard and his wife Shannon of Jenks, Oklahoma and Donnie Soard of Olathe, Kansas.
Preceding him in death were his father; one sister, Darla Kay Soard and his stepfather, Benjamin Joseph Staats.
Darren graduated from Liberty High School in Kansas City, Missouri. After graduation he worked several jobs before becoming a truck driver. He was employed by Convoy Trucking in Kansas City, Missouri and enjoyed raising and selling rabbits. Some of his favorite pastimes were working in the garden and going to the local farmers markets. Darren loved to hunt and fish and ride his motorcycle. He had ridden to Washington with friends which he enjoyed but most of all he loved spending time with his children.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bob Gaddis will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time at First Baptist Church in Shell Knob.
Contributions may be made to Mile of Pennies at Missouri Baptist Children’s Home in Mt. Vernon, Missouri or First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, Missouri.
