Darrell Workman, age 91, Forsyth, Missouri
Darrell Workman passed away November 10th, 2023, at the age of 91 at The Arbors in
Springfield. He was born August 16, 1932, in Garrison MO the son of Henry and Selma Stinnett
Workman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother Paul Workman.
Darrell was a 4-year veteran of the United States Navy and served 18 months on the aircraft
carrier USS Boxer during the Korean War. He was awarded the National Defense Service
Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, China Service Medal, and United Nations
Service Medal. He was a member of the Springfield Elks Lodge #409 and member of the
American Legion. He owned and operated several businesses in the Springfield area and
worked in security at Hammons Tower until retiring.
Darrell is survived by a sister-in-law, Marguerite Workman and nephew Doug Workman of
Kissee Mills, nephew Brad Workman of Oldfield, a niece Paula Zeitz of Jefferson City, and
many other relatives and friends.
Services will be in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Chapel, Forsyth MO on November 14th, visitation at
1:00 with service immediately following at 2:00. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery. Special
thanks to the staff at The Arbors for all they have done.
